U Ethical Investors has appointed Sam Wyatt as International Equity Portfolio Manager, further strengthening its investment capability as the organisation executes on its growth strategy under newly appointed CEO Brett Jollie.
Wyatt brings 17 years of experience across global investment management and professional services, significantly deepening U Ethical’s international equity expertise. Most recently, he spent 13 years at Mondrian Investment Partners in London, where he advanced to the position of Senior Portfolio Manager, developing a specialist focus on Emerging Asia-Pacific markets. Prior to this, Wyatt spent over four years at Deloitte London International tax practise, providing a strong foundation in financial analysis and cross-border investment structures.
Wyatt will play a key role within U Ethical’s investment team, contributing to idea generation and portfolio construction across international equities, with a particular focus on assessing opportunities and risks across international markets. His appointment increases dedicated international equities resourcing and further embeds global capability within the team.
U Ethical’s Chief Investment Officer, Jon Fernie, said the appointment reflects the firm’s continued focus on building disciplined, risk-aware investment capability.
“Sam strengthens our international equities capability at a time when global opportunity sets are becoming more complex. His experience across developed and emerging markets enhances our ability to assess risk particularly in areas such as capital allocation, governance and macro sensitivity which are critical to delivering consistent outcomes for clients.
“Importantly, this appointment builds on our existing process, adding depth to our idea generation and risk assessment while maintaining the disciplined framework that underpins our portfolios.” Mr Fernie said.
U Ethical Investors is Australia’s original ethical fund manager, with a not-for-profit ownership model and a deeply embedded approach to responsible investment. Its investment philosophy integrates ethical screening, ESG analysis and active stewardship – including taking clear positions on key ethical issues and engaging with companies to drive better outcomes, anchored by a long-term, risk-aware investment approach.
Wyatt said he was drawn to U Ethical’s combination of disciplined investment approach and long-term philosophy.
“U Ethical’s combination of a genuine ethical framework, a not-for-profit ownership model and disciplined investment approach is rare in this market. After more than a decade investing across global and emerging markets, I’m excited to contribute to a process with a strong focus on valuation, risk and long-term compounding, and to apply that experience within a team committed to delivering consistent outcomes for clients.”
Mr Wyatt commences on 8th April 2026.
