Stuart James

Stuart is a member of U Ethical’s Leadership Team, with responsibility for leading its distribution, marketing and client service functions. He brings close to 25 years of funds management experience and a proven record of building high-performing distribution teams, securing research ratings and platform access, and cultivating enduring relationships with advisers, consultants and research houses that translate into sustained growth in funds under management.

Stuart’s career spans some of Australia’s most respected investment management businesses. At Aberdeen Asset Management, where he spent over two decades, he held a series of progressively senior positions including Board Director and Head of Distribution, and Board Director, Head of Marketing and Business Strategy – contributing to a period of significant growth and transformation in the Australian business. He subsequently served as Managing Director and Board Director of Lakehouse Capital, before taking on the role of General Manager of Distribution at Apostle Funds Management.

Stuart holds a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Leeds Beckett University and completed the Senior Leadership Programme at INSEAD.
