U Ethical Investors has appointed Stuart James as Head of Distribution, reinforcing the organisation’s leadership team as it enters the next phase of its growth strategy.
Mr James joins U Ethical’s Leadership Team with responsibility for leading its distribution, marketing and client service functions. He brings close to 25 years of funds management experience, including senior roles at Aberdeen Asset Management – where he served as Board Director and Head of Distribution – as well as Managing Director of Lakehouse Capital and General Manager of Distribution at Apostle Funds Management.
Mr James has a proven record of building high-performing distribution teams, securing research ratings and platform access, and cultivating strong relationships with advisers, consultants and research houses that translate into sustained growth in funds under management.
CEO Mr Brett Jollie said the appointment was a significant step forward for U Ethical as it looks to expand its market presence and deepen key industry relationships.
“Stuart combines deep technical expertise across funds management with a strong understanding of the drivers of successful asset management businesses,” Mr Jollie said. “He is a person of integrity, sound judgement and humility who builds strong relationships and leads in a thoughtful and collaborative manner.”
Mr James will be based in Sydney, where he is deeply networked across the adviser, consultant and platform communities that are central to U Ethical’s distribution strategy.

Mr James commences on Tuesday 16 June.
